Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and Wurst Software (Wurst Software Engineering & Consulting Inc., a Texas corporation, see the imprint), which we call “we”, for using Insatomo. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy. By creating an account or using Insatomo, you accept these terms.
What Insatomo is
A kitchen and chores app for a Household: shared Grocery Lists and other lists, kitchen inventory, recipes, a meal plan, chores, rewards, a calendar and a pinboard. You use it on your own phone and, if you like, on a shared paired device such as a tablet on the wall.
Accounts
- You must be 13 or older to have an account. If you are under 18, you can join a Household only when one of its Owners invites you, you cannot create a Household of your own, and a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. WHEN #2717 SHIPS A younger child takes part as a Managed Member, which has no account (see the privacy policy). A parent or guardian is responsible for their child’s use of Insatomo, and an Owner who creates a Managed Member for a child is responsible for that choice.
- Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- You can have one account in more than one Household.
- You can delete your account at any time (see the privacy policy for how).
Households, Owners and a shared device
- A Household’s Owners decide who joins and what each member may do. What you add to a Household can be seen by its members as the privacy policy describes, and by anyone who uses the paired device. Do not put into a shared Household what you want kept from its members.
- Owners are responsible for the people they invite and for devices they pair.
- An Owner can delete a Household. It can be restored by an Owner for 30 days, then it is erased.
What you may do
Use Insatomo for your own household. You agree not to: break the law with it; upload content that is unlawful or that you have no right to share; try to read other Households’ data, interfere with the service or probe it for weaknesses; use the AI features to produce harmful content; resell or automate access to the service; or use it in a way that harms other users. We may suspend an account or Household that does.
Your content
What you put into Insatomo stays yours. You give us the right to store, process and display it as needed to run the app for your Household, including sending it to the services listed in the privacy policy. You promise you may do so. Recipes you import from the web remain the property of their publishers; use them privately and within the publisher’s terms.
The AI features and other helpers
Reading a receipt or recipe, estimating nutrition or shelf life, suggesting a substitute or a recipe idea, and the voice and weather features can be wrong. They are aids, not advice. Check them: nutrition and allergen information in particular is an estimate, not medical or dietary advice, and expiry dates are guesses; do not rely on them for your health or safety.
Third-party services
Insatomo works with services such as Google Calendar. Your use of them is under their own terms. Connecting a service is your choice and you can disconnect it at any time.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Insatomo running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It may change; features can be added, changed or removed. If we end the service we will give notice where we reasonably can. An app update may need a newer phone or operating system.
Price
Insatomo is currently free. IF A PAID PLAN IS INTRODUCED, THESE TERMS GAIN A SECTION ON IT; THE CHOICE OF PAYMENT ROUTE IS #2224.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for intent, gross negligence or injury to life, body or health. LAWYER: scope of the limitation of liability for the free service, for the markets served. Beyond that, we are not liable for data lost because a device was lost, a Household was deleted, or someone in your Household removed it. Keep a copy of what you cannot lose.
Ending
You can stop using Insatomo at any time. We may end or limit your access for a serious breach of these terms, with notice where the law requires it. Ending does not remove what the privacy policy says is kept for a time (the 30-day restore window of a deleted Household).
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters we will tell Account Holders in the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using Insatomo afterwards, you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Texas, United States, except that rules that protect you as a consumer where you live still apply. Disputes are decided by the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas, unless the law where you live lets you bring them in your own courts.
